The Hop Pole Inn, Albion Buildings, Upper Bristol Road, Bath BA1 3AR. [map] Tel: 01225 425410. Listed in CAMRA's Good Beer Guide 2001 as stocking "a variety of foreign bottled beer" which included Erdinger Weissbier, Erdinger Weissbier Dunkel and Erdinger Alkoholfrei, plus the Belgians Chimay Rouge, Duvel, Westmalle Dubbel, Leffe Blonde and Hoegaarden. There is a good range of well kept cask ales and a beer garden at the rear. Accessibility: the pub is mostly level, including the toilets, though these aren't wheelchair accessible. In Waitrose I found their own brand hefeweizen and dunkles hefeweizen, plus Pinkus organic "German beer" (a malty pils style beer).
