The owner, Freddi,is a trained chef from Austria who married a Welsh lady. They sell a selction of bottled German beers, including all Weizen variations. It is easily reached from the A55. About an hour from North West England. Take the junction just after exiting the Conwy tunnel and before you get to Penmaenmawr." Dave Jackson reports: "Regular draught beers include Erdinger Weisse, Ayinger Hefe-Weisse (Sam Smiths UK hefeweizen), Ayinger Pils and Warsteiner. Usually one or two others on draught. Currently Andechs Spezial Hell. Bottled range of approx. 30-40 German beers of which 10-15 are Weisse beers and the rest are Koelsch, Pils, Dunkel, Rauchbier, KellerBier, also now stocking a few Bocks / Doppelbocks (eg Jacobator). Most of the beer comes direct from small German Breweries. Equally large range of Belgian and some Dutch, French. etc. NEW extended opening hours. Mon - Wed 6pm - 11pm , Thu 5pm - 11pm, Fri 1pm - Midnight , Sat 1pm - 11pm , Sun 1pm - 10.30 pm. Two beer festivals a year - usually held in June and October when approx 30 German beers on draught over 3 day period. 4 British beers available on handpump often featuring such beers as Wye Valley , Bullmastif , Cottage Spring , Bryncelyn and other local beers."
